Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT)

Exam structure

Section 1

Thinking Skills

This section is difficult to prepare for. However, we’ll be taking you through some of the more challenging questions in each category. Additionally, we will be teaching you the best practices for tackling them. Some of these methods will require pure number crunching but there’s generally a shortcut to the right answer. Moreover, the solution to performing well in this section (and ultimately, the entire paper) is to find that shortcut in the given time period. That is precisely what we will teach you.

Section 2

Scientific Knowledge​

This section requires you to use your knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths to answer each question every minute to keep up with the time. Firstly, our course will teach you all the Physics you need to know for the BMAT. Secondly, you will be taken through some of the more challenging Biology and Chemistry questions that always appear during the exam. In addition, you’ll also get access to detailed notes on all the topics which will make your revision easier.

Section 3

Writing Task

Our course will take you through some past essay questions. Additionally, you will learn how to organize and structure your essays, and how to write an ideal introduction and conclusion. Most importantly, you will learn how to ensure you meet any cut-off points that universities urge.
